Who qualifies for portable x-rays?

As an organization we work with all of our partners and providers to pre-qualify our patients prior to services being performed.

How long will it take for my doctor to receive the report?

Your doctor will have immediate access to x-ray images for review as well as completed interpretation reports within 1 to 2 hours.

Are portable x-rays safe in non-hospital environments?

Yes, radiation used to acquire a portable x-ray is extremely low. The skin dose to the patient is usually the same as a hospital radiograph and in some cases less. Our technologists are trained in radiation safety and utilize the necessary protection.

My parent/relative is often confused and sometimes uncooperative. How would you deal with this situation?

This is a very common situation that our technologists are well trained to handle. They are also experienced in providing the service for patients with Alzheimer’s Disease and any other physical limitations. Most radiographs are obtained using less than one half of a second exposure time.

Will my insurance cover the x-rays if I have the exam in my house?

Yes, Medicare, Medicaid, and most other insurance carriers cover the cost of your home exam; however, some insurance carriers exclude portable x-ray depending on your policy contract.
